Our Story

Character, made public.

Alpha Sigma Phi was built on values that were once kept secret, then made public in 2005 for the world to see. At Presbyterian College, the brothers of the Alpha Psi Chapter carry those values forward: developing leaders, promoting brotherhood and academic excellence, and providing service and advocacy for the Clinton community.

The chapter's open motto, passed down since 1845, translates simply: the cause is hidden, the results well‑known. It's a fitting description of a fraternity that measures itself by what its brothers do, not what they say.

The Five Pillars

What we carve in stone.

Every brother of Alpha Sigma Phi is called to live out five values: the same ones etched into every chapter house across the Mystic Circle, including ours on East Maple Street.

Brotherhood in Action

Service isn't a slogan here.

From welcoming new members onto the steps of our house on East Maple Street to picking up trash along the streets of Clinton, the work of Alpha Psi happens in plain sight. Charity and Patriotism aren't just two of our five pillars. They're a standing invitation to show up for the town that hosts us.
